In Hancock's Yard you will find:
a dedicated museum building
2 large workshops, where members work on boats of all sizes from kayaks to yachts
a blacksmith's workshop
a library building
an open shelter housing the Charterhouse Lifeboat project
open shelters for small boats, some awaiting restoration & others sadly a bit past it
an open dock & slipway with boats of all sizes
a pool for radio-controlled boats
There are guided tours given by members who've a wealth of information to give you in a friendly relaxed style.
Or, you can roam freely but bear in mind this is a working boatyard - please take care and refrain from interrupting any operator using machinery & tools etc.
Allow 1 to 2 hours for your visit - but you can stay all day if you wish!
Parking
There is limited parking on site but there is plenty of free parking in the adjacent sideroads. There is a large free car park opposite Asda supermarket, adjacent to its petrol station (see Directions below). If the yard is full and you have restricted mobility then come in anyway & we'll make a space for you.
Prices
If you like what you've seen then please consider making a donation to support our work

Facilities
Accessibility
The main buildings (with the exception of the library) are wheelchair accessible
with no steps, and our boat workshop 'Tern Shed' can be entered with help. Unfortunately, our Escape boat cannot accommodate wheelchairs. The outside surfaces are a mix of grass, gravel and
concrete; it's generally flat but care should be exercised especially near boat moorings.

Routes 348/349 from Haverfordwest, 360/361 from Tenby & Kilgetty and 356 from Milford Haven all stop at Pembroke Dock rail station. From there it's a short walk - see 'By rail' above.
By boat:
Enter our dock around 2 hours either side of high water (depending on tides & your draft) - best to phone us first.
These visitors did just that in an Enterprise dinghy on our Open Day.
One of our Members produced a short promo video quite a few years ago now & we have a drones-eye view of the old boatyard.
We've come a long way since then - come and see!
