Jackrat

Jackrat is a Yachting World Dayboat: a 14-foot clinker-built dinghy.

The YW Dayboat was designed in 1949 for the magazine Yachting World as a family cruiser, being stable and good in rough weather.

Jackrat was built in 1959 from quality mahogany but later had an epoxy coating to cure leaks.

It suffered significant damage in its later life at Solva, Pembs. as well as being involved in a rescue!

It’s recently been restored to sailing condition.
