Bob

Bob is a traditional clinker-built pram dinghy owned by the Museum and exhibited in the Main Shed.

Pram dinghies were widely used by yachtsmen as tenders in the days before GRP or inflatable dinghies, often stowing them inverted on the deck.

She was found abandoned in the English Channel by an RAF Sunderland seaplane around 1950; used by them for awhile before passing into private hands; then donated to the Museum by Mrs Anthea Evans, widow of the late Cmdr Bob Evans, RN (Retd), of Llanstadwell.
